Opf3, .Net, Pervasive Sql and Accelerated mode

Sep 7, 2010 at 4:54 PM
I have a .net application using opf3 to interact with a Pervasive SQL database. Through the Pervasive Control Center monitor I have noticed that some tables are open in "Accelerated mode" (check also this link please).
My connection string is just "ServerDSN=XXXXXX;ServerName=127.0.0.1;UID=YYY;"
How can I understand if opf3 is opening tables in Accelerated mode or not?
Thanks
Manuela

Hi Manuela,

would Opf3 need to pass something to Pervasive in the connections tring to have tables opened in "accelerated" mode?

Thanks,
Christian

To open a table in Accelerated Mode by ODBC connection, you should specify in the connection string OPENMODE=-1, while the default is at 0 (Normal). As I wrote, in my connection string I do not specify the OPENMODE, so by default it should be Normal.

Thanks

Hi Manap -- Op3 doesn't do anything special. It just uses the connection string to execute the commands. Maybe the driver used by the framework opens tables depending on their use in different modes.
